The new role is perfect for an outcome focused, self-motivated individual who wish to join our high-performing & committed team working, to drive positive outcomes for sheep farmers.
Our team of dedicated professionals offer clients tailored advice and specialist knowledge on wool preparation & marketing, sheep husbandry coupled with our animal health & general farm supplies. The specialist positions are flexible and can be based out of either our West Wyalong or Condobolin Stores.
The Animal Health Specialist role has a component of practical on farm technical support relating to all aspects of sheep and wool production with a focus on animal health, nutrition, along with production and farming systems. The role will provide tailored practical solutions and programs, to producers. As well as establishing field trials and demonstrations, collaborating with research agencies and communicating with growers through a range of extension processes. This position will also provide technical support and education to Moses & Son staff.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of sheep health and production, along with:
- Tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent) in agricultural science, veterinary / animal science or related field;
- Strong understanding of sheep farmers’ & service providers’ requirements.
- High level computer skills with a demonstrated ability in the design & layout of document.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks & allocate resources according to priority to ensure critical deadlines are met.
