The new Racewell DR3 Sheep Drafter is a dedicated weighing and drafting machine based on well-proven and respected Racewell technology. It has been designed for farmers who want a simple weighing and drafting machine without the full handling capability of the top-of-the-line Racewell HD3 Sheep Handler, but still utilising its ‘Magic Eye’ and radio remote control technology that provides flexible setup and ease of use.
Leading innovation
One of the Racewell DR3’s most innovative features is the integration of weigh cells into the main frame. This keeps the weigh cells and electronics above the animals and well away from any dirt build-up around the bottom of the machine where load cells are traditionally located. Capable of weighing over 600 sheep per hour, the Racewell DR3 completes a job that used to take all day in a fraction of the time and with ease.
The 4 button remote control operates every function of the drafter while the adjustable magic eye optical sensors control the opening and closing of the gates. Magic eye adjustment allows for the optimum read position for stock of all sizes.
The modern, sleek design of the Te Pari Racewell DR3 and DR5 Auto Sheep Drafters include a strong steel frame with plastic guards covering the working areas of the machine, this keeps all electronics and wires safely hidden out of harm’s way enhancing the safety of your operation.
