The Journey So Far

Established in 1920 by Charles Moses, Moses & Son is a revered, fourth-generation, family-owned enterprise that has been delivering top-tier wool marketing and quality handling services.

In 1993, Bruce's son Marty, assumed the role of Managing Director, ushering in a new chapter. Under his guidance, Moses & Son expanded its services, products, expertise and reach. This includes livestock sales, rural supplies, specialty sheep handling equipment, precision sheep management and consultancy services.

Our progression aligns with our mission of empowering clients to become industry-leading producers and is driven by our core company values.

The Evolution of Moses & Son

1920s

Wool skin and hide business established by Charles and Samuel Moses in Temora.

1920-1971

The Moses family operated collectively in Temora, Braidwood, Cootamundra, Narrandera, Goulburn & Coolamon.

1940s

Sam’s son, Bruce Moses, was appointed Managing Director.

1970s

Bruce Moses independently established B. A. Moses Pty. Ltd., operating as Moses & Son, in Temora.

1980s

Traded as Brokers and Private Treaty Merchants.

1990s

Bruce's son, Marty, was appointed Managing Director, introduced electronic wool sales.

2000s

Expanded into Wagga Wagga, West Wyalong, Condobolin, Ariah Park,  Narrandera & Young.

2010s

Established Bluechip Livestock & Consulting, acquired an R&D farm for Merino trials, and broadened rural supplies offering.

2020s

Purchased Weddin Wool (Grenfell) and introduced comprehensive in-house freight service.
